Meet the Chef
Chef Donatella Zampoli's culinary career began more than 20 years ago, when she was the chef at Mas del Saugo restaurant in Cavalese, a town located in the Dolomites region of Northern Italy. Her innovative cuisine earned the restaurant a Michelin star. After eight years at the restaurant, Donatella began organizing various culinary events around Europe and became a consultant to the hospitality industry. She served as the consulting executive chef for Italian cuisine alongside Wolfgang Puck when Orient Lines launched its luxury cruise liner, Marco Polo, in the early 1990s. Since then she has worked with some of Tuscany's most famous wineries as a hospitality and gastronomical consultant, combining her passion for food with Italy's legendary food friendly wines. She is currently in charge of the hospitality program for the Frescobaldi family in Tuscany and recently returned to her calling in the restaurant business, opening Donatella's Kitchen in Budapest.
