Remole Toscana IGT

Remole is a delightful wine that features a blend of Sangiovese and Cabernet Sauvignon wine grapes that came from the Toscana IGT wine appellation. The Remole is produced from fruits found throughout the Frescobaldi estates and other Tuscan areas, although it has originated in Villa di Remole, a small area located at the heart of Tuscany. Villa di Remole is mostly known for being the “cradle” for the Frescobaldi’s 700 years of retaining their traditional winemaking techniques. While many sophisticated wines are enjoyed after being aged in oak barrels and in bottles, the Remole red wine is meant to be enjoyed young with little to no aging.

Tasting Notes

At first glance in a wine glass the Remole introduces you to a rich and luminous ruby-like color that has a rather appealing depth.  On the nose, the Remole has an equally appealing scent compared its appearance, as it reveals multi-faceted aromas of red and dark fruits that are lifted by spicier impressions of black pepper and liquorice. The first taste for the wine is velvety and warm, and the components on the palate are well balanced, although it has a tasty vein of acidity. Aromatic fruits return to grace a lengthy finish for the Remole, which is ideal for a better aftertaste.

Food Pairing Suggestions

The Remole is a classic example of a wine for all dishes, on all occasions, as it is a relatively versatile wine that can pair well with any dish on the table. Most wine enthusiasts would recommend that the Remole should be enjoyed with charcuterie that is not too spicy, or with full-flavored pasta dishes that has Amatriciana sauce.
